Resilience Workshop for Wives of Reservists and Partners of People Injured in the War

The Resilience Workshop for Wives of Reserve Soldiers is a two-day group journey designed for women who shoulder the responsibilities of home, family, and daily life while their partners are on extended reserve duty. The workshop offers a safe, women-only space to pause for a moment from the daily grind, take a breath, and be in a place where they don’t have to explain themselves.

Two days in a safe women's space, to pause and recharge

Recent events have created a reality in which many women are single-handedly managing the household, the children, their jobs, and their worries—for months on end, with no clear end in sight. Even when everything seems to be running smoothly from the outside, the stress, loneliness, and feeling that there’s never a moment to pause just keep piling up.

The workshop combines group processing facilitated by professionals in the fields of trauma and resilience, practical tools for coping with stress and uncertainty, mind-body practices, and opportunities for relaxation and respite. Alongside the professional process, there is also room for silence, laughter, and moments to breathe—things many of the participants haven’t had time for in months.

The most significant aspect is the group itself. The women come from different backgrounds and don’t know each other beforehand, yet they discover a shared reality that is difficult to explain to those who haven’t experienced it. The group that forms during the workshop continues to support many of them even after it ends, providing a support network and a sense of belonging.

For wives of reservists and partners of those on extended service

The workshop is intended for the wives and partners of reservists on extended service, as well as partners of people injured in the war and of people coping with post-traumatic stress disorder.

Registration is open to individual participants; there is no need to come as part of a group or to know anyone beforehand. The workshop can also be held as a private session for a community, a local government, or an organizational group.

Metzokei Dragot and pastoral settings throughout the country

The workshop takes place in peaceful settings throughout the country, allowing participants to disconnect from their daily routines and fully engage in the process. Overnight accommodation is included.

The main center of Mashiv HaRuach is the Mashiv HaRuach House in Metzokei Dragot, which combines a desert landscape, tranquility, and a profound group process.

Testimonials

The people who have been on this journey with us

Thank you for listening, for the pampering, for the professional guidance, and for your heartfelt desire to take such good care of us. It was uplifting, moving and empowering. I feel like I came home changed. Something in me has settled and grown stronger.

Partner of a reservist

Each person is a whole world, and I found something to connect with in every one of the participants. I came away feeling that we're much stronger than we think.

Therapist from a Resilience Center

I’m well aware of the power of conversation circles, but I found it difficult to incorporate them into the school. I’m leaving here with a clear resolution: The workshops I’ll lead through the end of the year will focus on conversation, listening, and connection.

School Counselor in the Gaza Envelope

I realized I needed to have the courage to ask for help. To keep being there for others—but not to forget to be there for myself, too.

A dentist from Mahane Shura

The facilitator was truly there for us—she listened, didn’t try to tell us how we were supposed to feel, and created a space where we could just be. I left feeling calmer, happier, and more at peace with myself.

Partner of Someone Coping with Post-Traumatic Stress

I rediscovered just how much strength there is in a group. My friends helped me see the good in myself, we got to know each other deeply—and we left here as a closer-knit and stronger team.

Emergency Room (ER) Physician at Soroka

Time seemed to stand still for a moment. I managed to rediscover my center—the place I need to return to and lead from.

School Principal in the North

You didn’t just help the 30 people who attended the workshop. We’re returning from here to the 3,000 people whom we, as community managers, are responsible for and support.

Community Manager, a kibbutz in the north

It's hard to put the experience into words. I can tell you that when I got home, for the first time in a very long time, I physically felt like I could breathe. I was able to breathe the way I hadn't in a long time. Thank you so much!

A wonderful and essential concept. It conveyed a sense of deep thought and attention to detail in both planning and execution. There was absolute attentiveness and great professionalism throughout the sessions, and that allowed me to rediscover my center.

S.
Wife of a Reservist

The workshop gave me a sense of calm and allowed me to create some breathing room for myself during this time. I learned to get to know myself better and to understand how to cope with stressful situations.
