About us

Mashiv HaRuach was founded as a volunteer-based initiative to support members of civil society who dedicate their lives to helping others, especially during times of ongoing crisis.

The initiative was born from the understanding that the national effort does not end on the frontlines. It must also include long-term support for coping with the emotional toll of traumatic events.

Our workshops are carefully designed by a professional team specializing in resilience and post-traumatic growth. Held at several sites across Israel, theyoffer a unique space for relief and reflection, rooted in a deep commitment to strengthening the helpers.

Thousands have taken part in Mashiv HaRuach workshops, including emotional care providers, educators, community and municipal leaders, wives of reservists and wounded soldiers, search-and-rescue teams, and more.

Each program is tailored to meet the specific needs of each group, and includes ongoing support,  through two-day, three-day, or one-day formats. We also offer small-scale, nature-based processing retreats for closed groups.
With a dedicated and skilled team, Mashiv HaRuach continues to stand by those who need it most,  helping the helpers, so they can continue to carry others.

The People Behind…

We began as a group of longtime friends with extensive experience in community and social initiatives, driven by a deep sense of responsibility toward those around us and a genuine desire to make a positive impact.

When the events of October 7th events shook us all, we knew this was the moment to act, bringing together our knowledge, experience, and networks to meet the urgent and unprecedented needs that had emerged.

We enlisted leading experts in trauma, resilience, and post-crisis growth, built partnerships with key organizations, and earned the support and recognition of foundations and philanthropists who believe in us and our mission. Today, Mashiv HaRuach is the leading, and only, organization in Israel, dedicated entirely to supporting the supporters: the professionals and caregivers on the front lines of assistance.
