Mashiv HaRuach
Helping the helpers
Since the war began, the entire country has been living in an ongoing state of emergency.
Professionals in healthcare, education, community work, and humanitarian response continue to carry out their roles under immense emotionaland operational strain. To give them space to pause, share, reconnect with inner strength, and begin to grow from crisis with renewed hope, we established Mashiv HaRuach.
MashivHaRuach workshops strengthen those who strengthen Israeli society. They give people on the front lines of care a space to process, a moment of relief, and the experience of being part of a supportive, holding group.
Who are we?
Mashiv HaRuach was founded as a volunteer-based initiative and today operates as a non-profit organization under Communitas Association (NGO No. 580792349). The association’s activities are exclusively dedicated to the Mashiv HaRuach initiative, which supports members of civil society who devote their lives to helping others, especially during times of ongoing crisis.
The association operates on a non-profit basis, and all of its resources are directed toward strengthening resilience, processing difficult experiences, and providing support for those who strive to grow through adversity
Thousands have taken part in Mashiv HaRuach workshops, from ZAKA volunteers, medicalteams, mental health professionals, and social workers, to wives of reservists and educational staff.
The workshops are carefully designed by a professional team with expertise in resilience and post-traumatic growth. They take place at several sites across Israel, offering a unique space for pause, processing, and support.
The Group Workshop
Mashiv HaRuach's group workshops offer a unique setting for emotional processing and renewal, held in quiet natural surroundings, that allow participants to disconnect and focus inward.
Participants experience a safe, supportive atmosphere that includes group conversations, relaxation exercises, and practical tools for strengthening emotional resilience and coping with difficult experiences. Each workshop is thoughtfully tailored to meet the diverse needs of Israeli society and is adapted specifically to each group.
The group setting creates a sense of community that continues to accompany participants as they return to daily life, offering stability, connection, and meaning.
